Comments on the new regulation of the intermediate tenures

The Centre for Legal Studies and Specialised Training (CEFJE) finances the project “Comments on the new regulation of the intermediate tenures”, in which some of the Housing Chair members participate. The project consists on undertaking the first legal comments on the regulation of new intermediate tenures in the Catalan civil law. They include shared ownership (progressive acquisition of homeownership) and temporary ownership (acquisition of the property time-limited).

These comments will cover the Draft law of introduction of shared ownership and temporary ownership in the Catalan civil Code, the right to housing Plan 2014 and also the taxation of these intermediate tenures. The aim is to achieve a cross-sectional study, commenting the role of the new intermediate tenures in civil legislation, in social housing policies and referring also to their taxation.
