Urban October 2020

The UNESCO Housing Chair URV has contributed to the Urban October 2020 report edited by UN Habitat international. The referred report includes the main events presented in the framework of the celebration of World Cities Day in which 753 events were presented in more than 74 countries and 230 cities. Specifically, the report of the webinar organized by the Chair entitled “Collaborative Housing” detailing the events and the contributions of experts and researchers of collaborative Housing. Course

Advanced diploma for real estate agents and property management organized by the Chair responds to the need to accredit a training level by those who carry out the real estate activity and offers you all the tools and skills necessary to practice the profession with all the guarantees.

It is virtual and is approved by the Catalan Housing Agency and its completion allows registration in the Register of Real Estate Agents of Catalonia.

Closing of the Postgraduate in Housing Policy

The closing ceremony of the Postgraduate course in Housing Policies of the URV Foundation took place last Tuesday, virtually, due to the current circumstances.

Publication

Dra. Maridalia Rodríguez-Padilla in co-authorship with the real estate law specialist Denisse Härtling, member of theObservatorio Judicial Dominicano (OJD-Funglode), have published in number 19 of the “Saber y Justicia Magazine” of the National School of the Judiciary of the Dominican Republic (ENJ), the article entitled “Ley de alquileres y desahucios: propuestas legales para un parque de vivienda en equilibrio”. In this article the authors reflect and analyse the most relevant points of the current project General Law on Real Estate Rentals and Evictions, which is reviewed by the National Congress of the Dominican Republic. Several recommendations are provided in order to achieve an efficient regulation of the housing rental market and be able to increase the supply of adequate housing. Doctoral scholarship in the field of housing law and new technologies

Would you like to become a PhD student in the field of law and new technologies? The Housing Research Group of the Rovira i Virgili University offers the doctoral scholarship “housing and blockchain” within the Martí i Franquès Programme. The selected student will start his/her PhD on the applications of blockchain technology, smart contracts and tokenisation in housing management and transactions (acquisition of housing, tenancy contracts, mortgage loans, management of communities and cooperatives, etc. ).
