ICREA
In 2015, the director of the Chair, Prof. Dr. Nasarre, was awarded by the prize ICREA Academia for the period 2016-2020.
The Research Plan presented by Dr. Nasarre involved the consolidation of the Institue of Housing of the URV, as the first international, interdisciplinary research institute in Spain dedicated to housing issues. The topics to be developed during the next five years are based on the data collected to date through the European projects TENLAW, cross-border acquisition of land and evictions and homelessness.
About the ICREA Academia award
The ICREA Academia programme was launched in 2008 with the aim of contributing to the intensification of the research carried out by university professors who are in a fully active and expansive phase of their research careers. The winners of the ICREA Academia award, all of them professors at Catalonia’s public universities, receive a substantial research grant for a period of five years. The total number of ICREA Academia awards to date is 224.
