European Housing Studies (EHS) already available

The UNESCO Chair of Housing URV promotes three accredited and specialized courses: one in housing policies (unique training in the territory), and another on real estate agents. We are also launching a third course, the European Housing Studies (EHS), a unique training course on housing at European level, supported by three European public universities. The EHS course has been designed to rise the qualification and the education standards and overall achieving a greater professionalization within the housing sector and has been developed by consolidated housing experts around Europe, with the support of the European Commission.

The course has just opened, which you can do at your own pace, with the possibility of obtaining a university degree.

Conference

Prof. Dr. Sergio Nasarre Aznar delivered the conference “Condominium as a driver of access to housing” at the Official Association of Property Managers of Galicia. The event took place in A Coruña on Friday, 28 June 2024.

Workshop of the “Liquid Housing” project

On Wednesday, June 19, the first workshop of the “Liquid Housing” project took place at the Palau de Congressos de Tarragona, where the causes or factors that influence this phenomenon and how it can evolve in the future were analyzed. The event was attended by Dr. Padraic Kenna, Professor at the National University of Ireland, who made the opening speech, as well as by different entities from the territory related to housing.

Participation at “Inmociónate”

Dr. Gemma Caballé Fabra was invited to participate as a speaker in the 2024 edition of “Inmociónate”, organized by the Spanish International Realty Alliance (SIRA). The event took place in Valencia on June 20 and 21, 2024.

International workshop on rent control

Prof. Dr. Sergio Nasarre Aznar delivered the conference “Regulatory framework and first effects of rent control in Spain” at the “4th Workshop on Rent Control”, organized by the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) Berlin, which took place on the 20th and June 21, 2024 in Turin.

Prof. Dr. Sergio Nasarre Aznar has made a stay in the city of London to get to know first hand the imprint that G. K. Chesterton left on the city.

Welcome ceremony

Dr. Gemma Caballé Fabra was invited to participate in the welcome ceremony and awarding of diplomas to the new members of the College of Property Managers of Barcelona-Lleida. The event took place on Thursday, 13 June 2024.

Work session – Ministry of Social Rights

Dr. Núria Lambea Llop was invited to participate on Thursday 30 May 2024 in a work session at the Ministry of Social Rights on behalf of the UNESCO Housing Chair to analyze the promotion of the so-called housing associations in Spain.
