Seminar FutureResilience

On Wednesday, January 29th, the Seminar “FutureResilience. Policy Roundtable on Resilience and Social Integration” took place, organized by the European project Futuresilience. It was attended by Dr. Héctor Simón, Mr. Ignacio García Latorre, Deputy Mayor for Urban Planning and Territory of the Local Administration of Tarragona and Mr. Josep Casas i Miralles, Deputy Director of the Catalan Housing Agency of the Generalitat of Catalonia, representing the “Liquid Housing” project, led by the UNESCO Chair in Housing.

Appearance before the European Parliament

The citizen platform “Mercaderies per l’Interior” and the association “Tarragona Avança”, represented by Prof. Dr. Sergio Nasarre Aznar, defend before the European Parliament that freight trains of the Mediterranean Corridor should not pass through the city centre, as they can cause damage to people’s lives and health, to historical heritage and to the environment, in violation of various European and national precepts and human rights.

The petition is accepted by all groups in Parliament, except for the socialist group.

Third Workshop of the “Liquid Housing” project

On Wednesday, January 22nd, the third workshop of the “Liquid Housing” project took place at the University Rovira i Virgili, where the policies to address  this phenomenon were analyzed. The event was attended by different entities of the territory related to housing.
