Dr. Gemma Caballé participated in the Round Table on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) on Thursday, 23 January 2025. The Mediation Center of the Council of Property Managers¡ Associations of Catalonia (CEMCAF) organized at the headquarters of the Property Managers’ Association of Tarragona, a Round Table on the role of Property Managers in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), in which Dr. Gemma Caballé participated, together with Ms. Isabel Morales Quílez, Lawyer President of the ICAT mediation commission, Ms. Emma López Sole, Lawyer and consultant of CEMCAF and with the collaboration of Ms. Ana Bozalongo, Legal Advisor of the Estate Administrators’ Association of Tarragona.

Third Workshop of the “Liquid Housing” project

On Wednesday, January 22nd, the third workshop of the “Liquid Housing” project took place at the University Rovira i Virgili, where the policies to address  this phenomenon were analyzed. The event was attended by different entities of the territory related to housing.

Dr. Pablo Ruiz Osuna has published the monograph “The legal personality of intelligent automata” in the Aranzadi publishing house, the result of his doctoral thesis. The work deals with what is possibly the great invention of this century: intelligent automata. The research seeks to determine their legal nature (what are they?) and proposes a basic private legal regime for them, as new citizens and agents in legal-economic traffic.

Exhibition “10 years of the UNESCO Housing Chair”

Today we inaugurated the exhibition “10 years of the UNESCO Housing Chair” at the Library of the Campus Catalunya of the Rovira i Virgili University. On display until the end of January are the complete collection “Housing Law” from the Tirant lo Blanch publishing house, the doctoral theses read at the Chair, presentation videos, historical photographs, the gamification experience “El Llindar” on evictions and homelessness, the compilation of 20 issues of the journal “Housing” and the European Housing Studies course.
