Meeting on Evictions

18th and 19th May there is a meeting of the project of Evictions, in which Dr. Sergio Nasarre is researcher, in the Faculty of Legal Sciences in Tarragona. In 2014 the European Commission launched its first official study into the promotion of the right to a home in member countries and on the consequences of evictions.

 

Conference in Turin

Within the program STA-Erasmus+ for professors, Dr. Maria Font, researcher of the Housing Chair and member of the Department of Private Law, participated in a Seminar about Spanish Law organized by Dr. Barbara Pasa, responsible of the Law University of Turin (Italy). The seminar, addressed to 150 Italian students, was titled  “El acceso a la vivienda en España: financiación hipoteria, protección de consumidores y alternativas”. Her speech, “La propiedad compartida y temporal en Derecho catalán y en Derecho internacional”, was both interesting and surprising for the audience (13 and 14 April 2015).

Participation in an EUROFOUND conference

Dr. Blanca Deusdad, researcher of the Housing Chair, participated in a conference organised by EUROFOUND: “Preventing inadequate housing: case studies”, 13th may in Brussels. She was discussant of the  “Zaragoza Vivienda Housing Programme for Older People” workshop.

TENLAW Meeting Tartu (Estonia)

Dr. Héctor Simón, researcher of the Housing Chair, participates this Friday 8th May in the meeting and discussion of the project Tenancy Law and Housing Policy in Multi-level Europe, which is going to be hold in Tartu (Estonia).

 

MUDEC Workshop

Mr. José M. Mas i Flores, chairman of the Estate Agents Association in Tarragona, is going to give a conference titled “El derecho documental inmobiliario” within the Master’s Degree of Business Law workshops, next Monday 11th at 4pm (seminar 2).

Interview in Cadena SER

Dr. Sergio Nasarre was interviewed by Cadena SER last 3rd of May 2015, in the radio programme “SER consumidor”. It was about the legal regulation of intermediate tenures: shared ownership (gradual acquisition of a housing) and temporary ownership (time-limited acquisition of a housing) as new ways of access to housing. Finalist at the III Competition of Young Researchers of the Faculty of Legal Sciences of the University Rovira i Virgili

Predoctoral researcher of the Housing Chair Gemma Caballé has been awarded with the second price on the III Young Researchers’ Competition of the Faculty of Legal Sciences of the University Rovira i Virgili.  Her work is entitled “¿Qué es una vivienda?” and is about the concept of housing. Participation at COST Conference

Dr. Blanca Deusdad, researcher of the Housing Chair, participated at COST 1402 Ageism from a Multinational, Interdisciplinary Perspective Conference, held in Dublin 27th and 28th of April.
